Get Ready for the 2024 GHSA Game Day Cheerleading Championship! The Georgia High School Association (GHSA) Game Day Cheerleading Championship is back, bringing high-energy performances and fierce competition to Columbus, Georgia! This year’s championship, in partnership with Varsity Brands, Inc., will take place over two days, December 4-5, 2024, at the Columbus Civic Center.

Event Overview
The Game Day Cheerleading Championship is a unique event that showcases the spirit and skill of high school cheerleading teams as they perform in scenarios mimicking a real game day environment. Teams will compete in three key categories:
- Cheer: Leading the crowd with dynamic routines.
- Band Chant: Energizing the audience with synchronized chants and movements.
- Fight Song: Showcasing school pride with choreographed routines to their school’s signature song.
The highest-scoring teams in these segments will advance to the finals, where they’ll combine all elements into a three-minute routine to determine the champions.

Day 1 – Wednesday, December 4:
- 8:30 AM – 2:30 PM: Divisions 4A & 5A
- 3:30 PM – 8:30 PM: Divisions 2A & 3A

- 9:00 AM – 4:48 PM: Divisions 6A & 1A
