High schools from across the state will compete in the Ochsner Health LHSAA State Championship at Northwestern State this Monday.

The event kicks off with the Division V girls’ race at 9 a.m., followed by the boys’ Division V race at 11:15 a.m.

A total of 327 schools are set to participate, racing on a three-mile course that begins outside the NSU track complex and finishes inside the Walter P. Ledet Track Complex.

Packet pick-up opens at 6:30 a.m. at the LHSAA tent, located on the practice football fields across from the track entrance. A five-minute warning will signal lineup time before each race.

The top 25 times of the day for both boys and girls, regardless of division, will earn All-State honors.

Tickets are $12 for cash purchases and $14 for card payments (including a $2 processing fee). Gates open at 8 a.m.
