Finalists Announced for 2024 MaxPreps High School Volleyball National Player of the Year

As the 2024 high school volleyball season approaches its final stretch, the spotlight shines on standout athletes whose exceptional performances make them contenders for top honors. The MaxPreps National Player of the Year will be revealed on December 3, joining the ranks of previous winners like Elia Rubin, Paige Flickinger, and Lauren Harden. Today, we unveil the five finalists vying for this prestigious award.

The finalists are listed in alphabetical order below:

Logan Bell, Roncalli (Indianapolis, Ind.)
Position: Outside Hitter | Height: 5-10 | Class: 2025 | Committed to: Oregon
Highlights: Leading her team to the Class 3A final, Bell has tallied 319 kills, 274 serve receptions, 239 digs, and 62 aces. No. 3 Roncalli aims to finish an undefeated season under her guidance.

Suliane Davis, Colleyville Heritage (Colleyville, Texas)
Position: Outside Hitter | Height: 6-2 | Class: 2025 | Committed to: BYU
Highlights: With 729 kills this season, Davis is pivotal for the Panthers, who recently advanced in the Class 5A Division 1 playoffs. Averaging 6.5 kills per set with a 37% hit rate, she also contributes 630 serve receptions and 547 digs to Colleyville Heritage’s 34-6 record.

Kylie Kleckner, Byron Nelson (Trophy Club, Texas)
Position: Outside Hitter | Height: 6-0 | Class: 2026 | Committed to: Washington
Highlights: As part of the top-ranked team in the MaxPreps Top 25, Kleckner boasts 495 kills as her team enters Class 6A Division 2 postseason play. She averages 5.2 kills per set with a 35% hit rate, forming a dynamic duo with teammate Ashlyn Seay on their 34-1 squad.

Macaria Spears, Prestonwood Christian (Plano, Texas)
Position: Outside Hitter | Height: 6-3 | Class: 2025 | Committed to: Texas
Highlights: Known as one of the game’s most dominant hitters, Spears has amassed 568 kills for the No. 3 Lions, who are on the hunt for a fourth consecutive TAPPS Class 6 title. With a 41% hit rate and 6.2 kills per set, she also leads her team in blocks with 75.

Charlotte Vinson, Yorktown (Yorktown, Ind.)
Position: Outside Hitter | Height: 6-2 | Class: 2025 | Committed to: Indiana
Highlights: After a remarkable recovery from a life-threatening illness, Vinson has recorded 344 kills over 80 sets as the Tigers pursue a Class 4A state title on November 9. She averages 4.3 kills per set with a 34% hit rate for the No. 17 Tigers.
