Following last week’s National Top 10 rankings of high school basketball teams, we’re now turning the spotlight to the nation’s top players.
Previous MaxPreps All-Americans include elite talents such as Paolo Banchero (2020), Devin Booker (2014), Jaylen Brown (2015), Jalen Brunson (2014, 2015), Anthony Davis (2011), Kevin Durant (2008), James Harden (2007), Jayson Tatum (2014-2016), Karl-Anthony Towns (2014), and Zion Williamson (2017, 2018).
This year’s Preseason MaxPreps All-America Team features 20 standout players, with 2022-23 MaxPreps National Player of the Year Cameron Boozer, top senior prospect A.J. Dybantsa, and No. 3 senior Darryn Peterson taking center stage.

First Team
- Cameron Boozer (Columbus, Miami, FL)

- Last season’s MaxPreps National Junior of the Year, Boozer averaged 22.3 points, 11.2 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 2.1 blocks, leading Columbus to a 28-5 record, a Class 7A title, and a No. 2 ranking in the MaxPreps Top 25.
- A.J. Dybantsa (Utah Prep, Hurricane, UT)

- Top-ranked in his class, Dybantsa averaged 21.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, and 3.5 assists for Prolific Prep, which reached the No. 4 spot in the National Top 10.

- Named first team MaxPreps Junior All-American, Peat led Perry to a third straight state title with 20.5 points, 10.6 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 2.2 blocks per game.
- Darryn Peterson (Prolific Prep, Napa, CA)

- A five-star talent, Peterson averaged 24 points, six rebounds, and four assists, earning third team MaxPreps Junior All-America honors.

- Averaging 20.8 points, 14.6 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 4.4 blocks, Wilson led his team to the Class AAAA state title game.
