Journey to Gillette: MIAA High School Football Playoff Lineup

The path to Gillette Stadium begins now.

This Sunday, the MIAA will reveal the high school football tournament matchups. Teams from eight divisions will compete for one of the coveted 16 spots at Gillette, all hoping for a shot at the state championship.

On the South Shore, Milton (Division 3) and Duxbury (Division 4) aim to defend their titles. Marshfield (Division 2), Scituate (Division 4), Hanover (Division 5), and Carver (Division 8) are all hoping to reach the Super Bowl after falling short in the 2023 finals.

When are the MIAA Football Brackets Announced?

The MIAA will release the playoff brackets at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3. Each of the eight divisions will feature a 16-team bracket, with teams selected based on power ratings and requiring at least three wins.

MIAA Football Tournament Schedule

  • Bracket Release: Sunday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m.
  • Round of 16: Friday, Nov. 8
  • Elite Eight: Friday, Nov. 15
  • Final Four: Friday, Nov. 22
  • Super Bowl (at Gillette Stadium): Dec. 4-6

Thanksgiving games will take place between the Final Four and Super Bowl rounds. Final Four matchups will be played at neutral venues, while the Super Bowls will unfold at Gillette Stadium.
