With another week of high school football wrapped up nationwide, the latest national top-25 rankings have been released.
Several states have already entered playoff season, while others will kick off their postseason games in the coming weeks.
Here are the top 25 teams heading into the second weekend of November:
1. Mater Dei (Calif.)
- Previous Rank: No. 1
- The Monarchs ended their regular season undefeated with a 38-14 victory over Orange Lutheran, California’s No. 5 team. They now await the CIF-Southern Section playoff pairings, which will be announced Sunday at 9:30 a.m. PT.
2. Duncanville (Texas)
- Previous Rank: No. 2
- Duncanville remains perfect at 9-0 after a dominant 50-6 win over Mesquite on Friday night. They’ll face Cedar Hill to close the regular season before starting the bi-district round in two weeks.
3. North Shore (Texas)
- Previous Rank: No. 3
- The Mustangs cruised to a 42-14 win over C.E. King, setting up a major showdown on Friday against Summer Creek, a top-10 team in Texas.
4. St. John Bosco (Calif.)
- Previous Rank: No. 4
- Bosco rebounded from a tough loss to Mater Dei, defeating league rival J Serra Catholic 44-24. They’ll now head into the playoffs with hopes of avenging their loss against the Monarchs.
5. North Crowley (Texas)
- Previous Rank: No. 6
- North Crowley continued its impressive season by beating Mansfield 59-11 on Friday. They’ll look to complete an undefeated regular season when they face rival Crowley on Thursday night.
6. Southlake Carroll (Texas)
- Previous Rank: No. 5
- The Dragons capped a flawless 10-0 season with a 48-15 win over Keller Central and will take a week off before playoffs begin.
7. Bishop Gorman (Nev.)
- Previous Rank: No. 7
- After an early loss to Mater Dei, the Gaels bounced back with seven straight wins to close the regular season at 9-1. They’ll have a bye in the opening round of the Nevada playoffs and will face the winner of Liberty vs. Foothill.
8. Atascocita (Texas)
- Previous Rank: No. 8
- The Eagles rebounded from their only loss by defeating Channelview 55-0. They finish the regular season against Goose Creek Memorial before playoffs.
9. DeSoto (Texas)
- Previous Rank: No. 9
- DeSoto’s explosive offense was on full display in a 70-38 victory over Skyline, though their defense has room for improvement. They’ll wrap up against Lancaster before the playoffs.
10. St. Frances Academy (Md.)
- Previous Rank: No. 15
- The Panthers cruised to a 30-3 win over IMG Academy and will close the regular season with a matchup against Mt. Zion Prep.
