Preseason high school football action began across Connecticut the week of September 12, setting the stage for an exciting season. The regular season kicked off this past weekend with a packed lineup of games.
Leading the Connecticut high school football rankings is Brunswick School, a powerhouse program, followed by new entrant Choate Rosemary Hall, with Greenwich and undefeated Windsor (7-0) rounding out the top teams.

- Brunswick School (7-1)
Brunswick School, loaded with talent and led offensively by Clemson commit Blake Hebert, tops the list. The team has an impressive roster, including Notre Dame-bound Matty Augustine and Syracuse commit Jaylen Pray. Their only loss came against Phillips Exeter Academy, 34-26. - Choate Rosemary Hall School (7-0)
Choate Rosemary Hall, another talent-packed private school, remains undefeated after a 34-7 win over Loomis Chaffee. Anchoring the team is top Connecticut player and Notre Dame commit, 4-star offensive lineman Will Black. Choate dominated Avon Old Farms, 40-7, in their last matchup. - Avon Old Farms (4-3)
After an early loss, Avon Old Farms bounced back and remains a force in Connecticut, featuring key players like 3-star offensive tackle Owen Aliciene (Penn State) and 3-star defensive lineman Dante Recker (Maryland). Despite a loss to Choate, they hold firm at No. 3. - Windsor (7-0)
Windsor stands out among public schools, remaining undefeated. Their latest victory, a 48-14 win over Conard, underscores their dominance this season. - New Canaan (6-1)
Despite a 14-0 loss to Masuk, ending their 14-game win streak, the Rams stay near the top. They secured a strong win last week, defeating Norwalk 49-7. - Masuk (6-1)
Masuk rebounded after a loss to Bunnell and looks sharp with a recent 56-7 win over Pomperaug. The Panthers face Weston next. - Hand (7-0)
Hand continues to perform with consistent wins, most recently a 15-7 victory over Hamden. The Tigers previously dominated Shelton, 52-29, and Fairfield Prep, 34-3. - Brookfield (7-0)
Brookfield entered the rankings recently after upsetting Bunnell. They extended their winning streak with a decisive 43-point victory over East Lyme. - Greenwich (6-1)
Dual-threat quarterback Michael D’Angelo leads a balanced Greenwich offense, which has totaled over 800 all-purpose yards and more than 10 touchdowns. They recently defeated St. Joseph, 23-14. - Fairfield Prep (6-1)
Fairfield Prep returns to the top 10 after strong performances, including a 35-6 win over Sheehan. They’ll wrap up the regular season against Hamden and North Haven.
